How to Apply International Bildrite SoundRite Sound Board
International Bildrite SoundRite is available in 1/2" nominal thickness 4' x 8' panels.
SoundRite sound deadening board should be stored indoors and should be kept dry.
For interior and partition wall assembly apply SoundRite sound deadening board vertically over studs. Panels must be spaced 1/8" at panel joints and be fastened with 5d 1-1/2" galvanized roofing nails, 1/2" from panel edge and 12" on center on all studs. For metal stud application a 1" drywall screw should be used with the same fastening and spacing guidelines. Stager outside panel joints over SoundRite when fastening.
For floor application, SoundRite should be applied over approved subfloor nailed to joists. Staple SoundRite to subfloor and glue 1/2" underlayment to SoundRite. Panels must be spaced 1/8" at panel joints. Stager 1/2" underlayment joints over SoundRite when glueing.
